Croft Communications Raises its Brand Awareness with Radio Advertising and Sponsorship

Who: Croft Communications

Croft Communications are a Hertfordshire based telecommunication company that provide a comprehensive range of telecommunication services for SMEs and the Public Sector.

With clients including estate agents, healthcare providers and educational services, Croft supply everything from broadband to business mobiles, helping businesses enhance communication reliability and efficiency daily.

Challenge: Increase Brand Awareness

The business went through a rebrand in March 2020 and before that had done very little marketing and branding. Upon rebranding it was important to Croft to get there name out there and show what they can really do within their market.

The brand also wanted to show customers that they are a community focussed business, with a desire to position themselves within the local Hertfordshire business community.

Solution: Radio Advertising and Sponsorship

Croft worked with Heart Hertfordshire on several brand awareness solutions. With a weekly reach of over 21,000 UK adults aged 25-44, the station was the perfect method to reach a relevant demographic throughout Hertfordshire.

Keeping brand awareness in mind, the business sponsored travel on the station, with hourly updates following the news as well as a radio ad spread throughout the day. Brand sponsorship and radio jingles are the perfect opportunity to create awareness and recall amongst an audience.

Using a variety of tags related to different products and services that Croft provides, our creative team were able keep the sponsorship fresh and relevant by rotating different ad copy throughout the day.

On top of the on air activity the brand also sponsored the Heart Tech Appeal.

Put in place during the 2020 lockdown, the initiative has allowed hundreds of children across Hertfordshire to have access to the necessary technology to effectively learn from home.

Teaming up with Heart, Croft asked businesses across the country to donate any unused laptops, desktops or tablets, donate to kids who need it the most. This included 100 free mobile broadband packages supplied until the end of the school year from Croft.

Results: Increased Reach and Brand Awareness

Cassie Peasnell: Marketing Manager – Croft Communications:

‘Heart Hertfordshire has helped us reach a completely new audience helping us gain new clients both locally and as far as Central London. When you speak to people about the brand, they can almost always recall us from the radio and it is that recognition that is important, something we didn’t have previous. The tech appeal has also given us a really great opportunity to give something back to the community. Being a communications business it was really great to help local school children and working with Heart felt like a really natural and positive partnership’.
